At the start of 2007 Zimmer came to OPSC to look for a solution to allow the management of ordering and supply of orphopaedic joints to surgeries across South Africa.
The vision was to allow surgeons to quickly and easily log into a secure website where they could register an operation, order the replacement joint for that operation, manage the healthcare insurance payments, manage key medical needs for the operation and track the order through to the operating theatre.

As well as providing design and development within Zimmers branding guidelines, hosting of the final solution would be provided through our own dedicated servers in the London docklands, regionalised for South Africa.


To ensure a solution was developed suitable for this specialised sector, OPSC Limited worked closely with the specialised consultancy for the medical sector, TG2 Limited.
With regular meetings and progress updates we were able to develop a solution within time and budget that exceeded the original design goals.
